How your data is handled

The boundaries between browser storage, cloud sync, guest activity, and collaboration.

Last updated

Local learner storage

MathPro keeps your learner state in browser storage so it can save work and resume activities. Account session information is also kept in the browser. Browser storage can be cleared, blocked, or lost; it is not a substitute for a backup. Anyone with access to an unlocked browser profile may be able to access its locally saved data.

Signed-in cloud sync

Supabase provides account identity, learner-record persistence, and storage for uploaded files and avatars. Cloud sync includes the learner state needed to restore your workspace and reconcile saved evidence. A network failure can delay sync; locally saved and cloud-saved state are not always identical at that moment.

Guest learning

Guest activity uses session storage with a bounded session lifetime, or temporary memory when that storage is unavailable. It does not create an account or a private cloud learner record. If you create an account and confirm the offered migration, supported guest activity can become real learner evidence. Restarting the guest session removes that session's stored sample activity.

Collaboration

Connections and groups can expose your chosen social profile and membership. Joining a live room can expose presence and chat to other authorized participants. Sharing a learning object or workbench exposes the selected content to its intended audience. Other participants may retain copies; withdrawing a share cannot undo a copy they already made. Private mastery, diagnostic answers, notes, and account credentials are not automatically exposed as collaboration analytics.

Providers and records

Hosting and security providers may process request metadata such as IP address, browser information, and request timing. MathPro does not claim that providers keep no logs. Lesson video embeds or other external resources can make requests to their providers. MathPro's public information pages load no third-party scripts, fonts, or embeds.
